Sources close to BJP and AIADMK reveal that influential individuals and some groups are now on a peace expedition, defusing the ‘break’ announced by AIADMK on the pretext of Tamil Nadu BJP President Shri Annamalai’’s well-orchestrad attack on Late Shri Annadurai and present AIADMK leader Shri Yedappadi Palanisamy.
Annamalai has given a new push to BJP in Tamil Nadu which worries both DMK and AIADMK. On leaving NDA, AIADMK looks to about 4-8 percent Muslim vote ( out of the 13 per cent minority vote which now goes solidly to DMK and a major cause for their electoral gains in the State) which the party used to get during MGR-AMMA’s time. Now DMK fears migration of Muslim vote event 5 per cent to AIADMK will upset all pre-poll calculations.
A considerable section of AIADMK including prominent leaders like Shri Thambithurai is reported to be feeling that the action is unjustifiably misdirected towards BJP Central leadership ( without whose support they would not have remained in power even for a single day).
Observers feel that the ADAMK leadership ignores the long’ standing political relationship with BJP right from Vajpayee- MGR-Jayalithaaa era and the unparalleled goodwill and lifeline extended by Prime Minister Modi for narrow and assumed political gains.
It is not in tune with public expectation as well. People feel that AIADMK and BJP are natural allies in protecting Tamil Nadu’s profound ‘Sanatan’ value, Religion, Culture and protection of temples besides, giving a better social order and quality of life for the poor and downtrodden.
RAJNI TO MAKE A COME BACK?
Personalities who are in touch with Rajni express confidence that the Super Star may agree despite his busy film commitments in the flash-back of his unfortunate backout during the last Lok Sabha general elections due to health issues. The present engagement of Rajni will be working out the ‘peace’ between the two sides and remaining a well-wisher spectator. Rajni fans are delighted about these talks and ‘thalaivar’ will come for campaign also when PM Modi Ji comes.
Finally , we asked a senior political commentator about the patch up efforts? He replied: “What patch-up? If PM calls the two sides and tell “This has to be done. Do it in the interest of the two parties and in your own interest in Tamil Nadu politics”. Is it not enough?”
He hurriedly added: “If Rajni comes it is fantastic. It is a great idea. Forget the rift. When ‘thalaivar’ makes a presence and gives his voice for the cause of Sanatan, he will be doing a great service to Tamil Nadu and everything will take the backseat. The Super Star is not an individual: He has unparalleled film and spiritual followers
He has quite a few film commitments . But that is not a problem in giving voice for ‘sanatan dhrama”. “Rajni knows how and when to play his cards.”
